1. What we do not collect
The most useful thing to know first: we never collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email, phone, address, PAN, Aadhaar, or any other identifier — we don't ask, and you don't need an account to use any feature
- The ticket numbers you type into the checker — the match runs entirely in your browser via JavaScript and is never sent to our server
- Your precise location — we don't request browser geolocation
- Cross-site tracking identifiers — no Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar, no marketing pixels
2. What we do collect (very little)
Server logs
When your browser fetches a page, our Cloudflare proxy and our origin server record standard HTTP request metadata: the URL requested, the timestamp, the response status code (200, 404, etc.), and an approximate region inferred from IP (state-level, not city). These logs are kept for 30 days for security and capacity-planning purposes, then deleted. IPs are stored hashed, not raw, after 24 hours.
One functional cookie
If you change the visual theme or pick a different state from the nav dropdown, we set a small cookie (lsd_pref) so your choice persists across page loads. The cookie expires after 30 days, contains only the chosen preference, and is never read by third parties.
3. Google AdSense
The site displays advertisements via Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies and Web Beacons to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet, per Google's standard ad-personalisation framework. AdSense's own tracking is governed by Google's privacy policy.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google's Ad Settings or via the AdChoices opt-out. AdSense will still serve ads if you opt out; they just won't be personalised.
4. Google Fonts
The site loads the DM Sans typeface from Google Fonts. The Fonts service does not set cookies and does not log IP addresses for analytics; it serves the font file and exits. Per Google's official Fonts FAQ, no personal information is stored.
5. Your rights under DPDP Act 2023 + GDPR
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") give you specific rights over personal data we hold about you. Because we hold almost no personal data, most rights have nothing to act on — but you can still exercise them:
- Right to access — email us at [email protected] and we'll confirm what (if anything) we hold about you within 30 days.
- Right to erasure — if we hold anything you'd like deleted, request it at the same address.
- Right to data portability — same address, no charge.
- Right to opt out of personalised AdSense ads — see section 3 above.
- Right to complain — to the Indian Data Protection Board (once constituted under the DPDP Act) or, for EU residents, your national data-protection authority.
6. Children's privacy
Lottery Sambad Daily is intended for adult readers (18+). We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact [email protected] and we will delete it immediately.
7. Updates to this policy
Material changes will be posted at this URL with the revised "last updated" date below. Substantive changes (anything beyond typo fixes or address updates) will be flagged in a banner on the homepage for at least 30 days.
