State-wise lottery results across India

India has no single national lottery. Thirteen states run their own state-government lotteries under the Lotteries (Regulation) Act, 1998. Every other state bans the sale, distribution, and possession of lottery tickets. This page brings the 1st-prize winning numbers from each legal state into one snapshot for 4th January 2025, so you can scan the day across the country in seconds instead of opening thirteen tabs.

Frequently asked questions

Which Indian states have legal state-run lotteries?

Thirteen states currently run government lotteries: Nagaland, Sikkim, Kerala, West Bengal, Punjab, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Mizoram. Every other Indian state bans the sale, distribution, and possession of lottery tickets under the Lotteries (Regulation) Act, 1998. Online private lotteries are universally illegal — only state-government draws are legal.

What time do the all-India lottery results come out?

There is no single nationwide draw. Each state runs its own schedule in Indian Standard Time. Nagaland (Lottery Sambad) draws at 1 PM, 6 PM, and 8 PM. Kerala draws once daily at 3 PM. Sikkim draws at 4 PM (Labh Laxmi) and 6 PM (Dear). West Bengal draws at 4 PM (with Diwali Bumper at 5 PM). We refresh each row on this page within 60 seconds of the official PDF release.

Can I buy a lottery ticket from another state?

Lottery tickets are legal only inside the issuing state plus states with which it has reciprocal sale agreements. Buying or reselling tickets in a state that bans lotteries (most non-13 states) is a criminal offence under the 1998 Act. Inter-state online ticket sales operated by private apps are usually illegal and the apps themselves face periodic FIR enforcement.

Which state has the biggest lottery jackpot in India?

Kerala's annual Thiruvonam Bumper carries a ₹25 crore first prize — the largest single-ticket jackpot among Indian state lotteries. Nagaland's Dear Bumper draws follow at ₹6 crore. Daily draws are smaller: Nagaland Lottery Sambad and Sikkim Dear pay ₹1 crore for the 1st prize; Kerala daily draws pay ₹70 lakh to ₹1 crore depending on the scheme (Samrudhi, Karunya, Sthree Sakthi).

Why is a state I expect to see missing from this list?

Only states with confirmed live scrapers appear. As of June 2026 we publish live data for Nagaland and Sikkim. Kerala, West Bengal, and nine more are tracked as coming-soon — research pages already exist for several, and result mirroring rolls out one state per fortnight. The status badge on each state's homepage shows whether it is live or upcoming.

How is this view different from the single-state homepages?

A state homepage (e.g. lotterysambaddaily.com for Nagaland or /sikkim/ for Sikkim) shows only that state's results in detail — all five prize tiers, every consolation number, and the original PDF download. This all-India view shows one row per state with only the 1st-prize winning number — a fast cross-country snapshot. Click "View full result" on any row to drill into the per-state page.

When does each state publish results on this page?

We poll each state's official Directorate website at one-minute intervals around draw time. The moment a new PDF appears, we mirror it, parse the prize numbers, and update the relevant row here. Nagaland slots usually appear within 38–55 seconds of the official release; other states typically within 90 seconds. The "Live" badge in the factbox shows the current refresh status.

Are prize structures the same across all Indian state lotteries?

No. Each state defines its own. Nagaland and Sikkim both use a 5-tier structure with ₹1 crore at the top and ₹1,000 at the 5th tier. Kerala's structure varies by scheme — Karunya has 9 tiers, Sthree Sakthi has 7. West Bengal uses a simpler 3-tier structure for daily draws. Each per-state homepage details its scheme; the prize structure page covers Nagaland in depth.

Independent results mirror. Lottery Sambad Daily is not affiliated with the Directorate of State Lotteries, Nagaland, or any state government. The Directorate's official PDF is the only legal record. Lottery participation is restricted to persons aged 18 and above, only in the 13 Indian states where it is legal. If lottery participation is causing financial or emotional distress, please call NIMHANS de-addiction helpline, 080-2699-5100 (free, 24×7).
